I’ve also selected a few art merch from the exhibition to sell in our store.
ELIZABETH QUAY Opening
We checked the newly opened Elizabeth Quay before heading to see Gillian Welch at the Perth Concert Hall. Looks amazing and happy to see the endless digging finally over and filled in 🙂
GILLIAN WELCH. Perth Concert Hall
We went to see singer-songwriter Gillian Welch play with her guitarist husband David Rawlings at the Perth Concert Hall. Beautiful spare set full of stories and banter between the two. Quite lucky to be near the front as it was an intimate show. Apparently they were going to do a roadtrip in parts of Australia after the concerts was over. x
LION KING. Crown Theatre Perth
Lion King… We got tickets although, its a work night for us. Anyway when we got there every seat was sold out and theatre was packed.
Hakuna matata! 🙂
AMY
The world really sux sometimes.
STANLEY DONWOOD/RADIOHEAD @ Carriageworks Sydney
After catching the boat back to Melbourne and doing the Great Ocean Road, we decided to fly back to Sydney, before flying to Perth – just so can catch the Stanley Donwood/Radiohead show at Carriageworks. Longtime Radiohead fan here… 🙂
And to spend a little more time w/ family, before our move as well.
Gonna miss this city in many different ways….
There was a multi-track soundscape by Thom Yorke as well. Wish took a video… 🙁

MONA ROMA
Finally made it to MONA after all this time… We were tempted to get the cattle class on the MONA ROMA (the ferry ) cause it seemed funny to sit on some sheep, but it’s chilly outside on the deck at wintertime. Also they serve canapes & drinks inside, and the wine on board is from Moorilla Estate (the boutique winery David Walshe started alongside MONA), which we were curious to try. 🙂
Anyway the museum is stunning. You ascend the stairs, once the ferry docks, to get to the outdoor area of the museum- which overlooks water and mountain. Once inside, you descend again, using a fancy glass elevator that had been drilled through the sandstone.
It felt a bit like paying a visit to Hades & the underworld…
