Finally made it to MONA after all this time… We were tempted to get the cattle class on the MONA ROMA (the ferry ) cause it seemed funny to sit on some sheep, but it’s chilly outside on the deck at wintertime. Also they serve canapes & drinks inside, and the wine on board is from Moorilla Estate (the boutique winery David Walshe started alongside MONA), which we were curious to try. 🙂

Anyway the museum is stunning. You ascend the stairs, once the ferry docks, to get to the outdoor area of the museum-  which overlooks water and mountain. Once inside, you descend again, using  a fancy glass elevator that had been drilled through the sandstone.

It felt  a bit like paying a visit to Hades & the underworld…
