Dawn Service and Gunfire Breakfast

Dawn Service and Gunfire Breakfast this morning.

Something really special about the way a lone Bugle sounds at dawn… and the scent of Rosemary as well. It was really heartwarming to see young children, primary and high school students taking the time to honour their grandparents, great-grandparents and past generations from their families.

When the sun came up we walked around and had a look at the beautiful wall panels -which used materials from all over Western Australia.

CHRIS ISAAK. Kings Park & Botanic Gardens

I remember buying Forever Blue from a second hand CD store in Hurstville in my late teens and loving it so much. It was just like KD Lang’s Ingenue in some ways – really soulful, with not a single less than perfect track. Anyway we were really happy we went to see Chris Isaak at  Kings Park.  He sounded even better live than the already perfect CD, plus he was quite funny and down to earth too. Really loved the Elvis and Roy Orbison covers.
